Discard

Narcissists discard at the worst possible time and in the worst possible way. If they can leave a hook in you, so that you are and stay devastated, then they feel good, significant and powerful. This hook, the memory of the idealization phase, the shock of the discard and trying to find answers also leaves the victim open for a hoover. The narcissist will deny the target any closure.
